Working as a freelance content creator gave me a different perspective on digital marketing. Unlike working in a fixed team, freelancing required me to manage the entire process independently from understanding client needs to delivering content that could perform well on search engines and social platforms. Most of my work focused on writing and optimizing SEO friendly articles. I was responsible for researching keywords, identifying search intent, and structuring articles with optimized titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, and anchor texts to improve search visibility. Beyond writing new content, I also worked on updating and refreshing existing articles to help improve their rankings and drive more organic traffic over time. At the same time, I supported social media growth by managing fanpages planning content calendars, monitoring engagement metrics, and adjusting content strategies to better connect with the audience. Freelancing taught me more than just technical skills. It taught me how to stay disciplined, communicate clearly with clients, and continuously adapt my strategies to different industries and audiences. Looking back, this experience helped me develop a strong foundation in both SEO content strategy and independent project management.
In this role, I managed daily operations and growth strategies across TikTok and Shopee, focusing on improving store visibility, optimizing campaign performance, and driving sales conversions. Key responsibilities included: • Managed TikTok and Shopee store operations, optimizing product listings, visuals, and descriptions to improve discoverability and sales performance. • Planned and executed promotional campaigns including Flash Sales, Mega Sales, affiliate programs, and KOL collaborations to drive traffic and conversions. • Monitored sales data and traffic metrics to analyze product performance and identify opportunities for growth. • Launched and optimized TikTok Ads and Shopee Ads campaigns, tracking ROI and adjusting budgets to maximize campaign efficiency. • Collaborated with cross-functional teams including design, warehouse, and customer service to ensure smooth store operations and a positive post-purchase experience. This role helped strengthen my understanding of how content, e-commerce operations, and performance marketing work together to drive sustainable sales growth.
Working at BrancherX helped me better understand how social media, creators, and commerce truly connect. My role went beyond simply producing content. I was involved in the entire process of turning social media ideas into campaigns that could generate real business results from working with clients and external partners to collaborating with internal teams to execute campaigns effectively. I worked directly with clients to understand their business goals and expectations. Based on those insights, I collaborated with the team to develop content directions and social strategies that aligned with the platform and campaign objectives. From there, I managed the production process from ideation and scripting to supervising filming and reviewing the final content. Another important part of my role was collaborating with creators. I worked closely with KOLs, KOCs, and UGC creators across multiple campaigns, ensuring that the content remained authentic to each creator’s style while still delivering the brand’s marketing goals. I also helped supervise daily livestream sessions monitoring performance, adjusting scripts when necessary, and finding ways to improve engagement and conversion during the streams. At the same time, I collaborated with the advertising team to optimize campaigns, ensuring that the content was not only creative but also effective in driving GMV and conversions. What I enjoyed most about this experience was being able to connect different parts of the social commerce ecosystem clients, content, creators, livestream, and performance marketing and seeing how they work together to create real business impact.
In one of my previous roles, I had the opportunity to focus on building and developing social media channels, especially on TikTok. My main goal was to turn new or underperforming channels into platforms that could generate both visibility and revenue. I started by researching the target audience, studying platform trends, and analyzing how the TikTok algorithm prioritized different types of content. Based on these insights, I developed content directions that focused on strong hooks, trend-driven storytelling, and formats that encouraged viewers to keep watching. Working closely with the production team, I helped translate these ideas into actual content. We collaborated throughout the process from brainstorming concepts and planning videos to supporting shooting, editing, and post production to make sure every piece of content aligned with both the platform trends and the client’s expectations. Another important part of my work was constantly tracking new trends and viral formats. Social media changes quickly, so adapting the content strategy in real time was essential to keep the channels growing. Through this process, we were able to grow the channels quickly and generate ~130M VND in revenue within the first month, while also producing videos that reached hundreds of thousands and even millions of views. What I learned from this experience is that successful social media content is not only about creativity it’s about understanding how platform dynamics, audience behavior, and storytelling work together to drive real results.
I had the opportunity to work closely with different social media platforms and better understand how their algorithms shape content performance. My work focused mainly on platforms like Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram, where I was responsible for researching platform algorithms and turning those insights into practical content ideas for weekly posts. I developed content concepts, wrote scripts, and created both photo and video materials for the channels. This included participating in the full content production process from brainstorming themes to editing images and videos to ensure the final content matched the platform style. One of the most rewarding achievements during this time was building a TikTok channel from zero to 45K followers, while also supporting weekly livestream sessions to maintain audience engagement and interaction. Alongside content creation, I also managed advertising campaigns on Facebook, running ads for three fanpages with a daily budget of 1,500,000 VND to support reach and conversion. Through this experience, I learned that social media growth is not only about creativity but also about understanding how algorithms, audience behavior, and consistent content strategy work together to build sustainable engagement.
