SHE is a social enterprise designing and delivering gender-focused, culturally tailored business incubator and accelerator programs for women in Cambodia. Women run 65% of businesses in Cambodia but 96% of those are micro-sized, employing less than 4 people. SHE are bridging the SME gender gap by scaling up women's micro enterprises and empowering them to enter the formal economy, creating long-term social and economic impact through job creation and women’s economic empowerment. SHE provide business training, mentoring, consulting, financing and networking opportunities for Cambodian women in business. Through our bookkeeping app, KOTRA Riel, our mission is to change the way micro entrepreneurs approach finance. By developing a simple, affordable and accessible bookkeeping solution, we are supporting Cambodia’s micro entrepreneurs to scale their businesses through increased financial acumen and improved access to finance. One of the major barriers to micro businesses accessing finance is lack of available financial information on borrowers and asymmetric information between micro businesses and financial institutions. With KOTRA Riel, micro-entrepreneurs can easily and affordably produce finance reports which can be provided to financial institution to support a loan application.
