I am a passionate, detail-oriented Materials Science Engineer with a Biomaterials concentration and in my early career I designed and maintained devices and parts. I led independent research and design of mechanisms for streamlining parent devices through the planning and execution of technical drawings and documents. I used fabrication equipment for creation and performance testing. Through interpretation of the data from several clinical studies, I made conclusions on the materials used based on their properties. I am seeking to leverage my experience to join a design team for improving/creating novel solutions.
Receiving and Processing of specimens (almost all types for microbiology-Seattle) Competency in Beaker, LCA, PCR, and AFB processing post-1-month assessments completed. Team communication for better workflow in processing
Conducted background research for projects and studies involving biomaterial characteristics, blood diagnostics, and prototype design. Authored professional technical documentation, designed and built prototypes. Led original and ongoing projects and studies involving the patient/device interface interactions from design, performance perspectives, and safety standards. Solved engineering problems with novel collaborative solutions. Optimized device design through sample acquisition and data analysis. Presented findings and progress to company R&D leadership.
Managed lab safety, and performed computer maintenance. Managed chemicals, managed work processes, moved and disposed of hazardous materials Developed departmental procedures, performed lab inspections for equipment safety
