· Sub-edit product descriptions according to guidelines and tone of voice · Hold strict standards of quality control to ensure content is consistent and accurate · Collaborate with Quality Control Specialist to identify issues about guideline, glossary and quality control processes encountered during daily production · Develop business unit processes, point of view and creative direction relating to product descriptions · Maintain a rigorous schedule that meets deadlines, capacity and quality targets · Report translation errors and/or EN copy errors to relevant stakeholders · Review translations that were sent through language QC request in a timely manner · Recommend opportunities to standardize and optimize procedures related to product translation services · Maintain glossary and translation memory for Chinese content · Drive the execution of process improvement initiatives as required
· Evaluate user interactions with an AI-powered bot, including multilingual use cases, by analyzing the effectiveness of its responses and identifying root causes of failures through debugging · Tune prompts for the multilingual version of the bot to ensure outputs align with target cultural norms, language conventions, and user expectations · Grade the quality of algorithmic responses to user queries for relevance and accuracy · Tag key entities and salient information in user-generated text to support NLP and ML training · Categorize support tickets and chat utterances by user intent using a complex, multi-dimensional taxonomy · Evaluate the performance of an AI chatbot and provide structured feedback · Provide human feedback on machine translation (MT) outputs for accuracy and fluency · Assess and comment on the accuracy of language detection algorithms · Evaluate search relevance to improve information retrieval systems · Perform high-quality bidirectional translation across assigned language pairs
•Have translated more than 1000,000 words over the years on a wide range of topics including but not limited to marketing, finance, journalism, literature, law, academic publications, politics, immigration etc. •Interpret between Chinese and English in medical, legal and community settings.
•Contributed to the delivery of translation projects - tasks typically included translating written materials from Chinese to English and vice versa, proofreading translation done by other team members, maintaining and updating the organization’s topic-specific term bases inside translation software such as Memsource, Trados, etc. on a regular basis. •Engaged in teaching activities as a trainer for the Diploma of Interpreting program •Compiled learning materials for several programs including Diploma of Interpreting, Advanced Diploma of Interpreting and Advanced Diploma of Translating
