About

Zachary ("Zac") is the Chief Investment Officer at Gen Capital Partners ("GenCap"), where he oversees the full investment cycle, from fundraising and deal sourcing to due diligence, negotiation, portfolio management, and divestments. He also serves as a Venture Partner at The Radical Fund, advising on investment strategy and operations. Zac began his career at Procter & Gamble, spending a decade developing operational and management expertise. In 2011, he co-founded Freshman, a direct-to-consumer F&B group that scaled to 7 juice and salad bar outlets across Singapore, sustaining growth and profitability over 9 years. After completing his MBA in 2017, Zac moved into investment management. He joined the investment arm of the Singapore Economic Development Board, focusing on growth-stage companies and venture funds, before leading the investment team at K3 Ventures, a stage-agnostic VC fund of the Kuok family, backing high-caliber founders across Southeast Asia and Greater China. He then established the investment team at The Radical Fund, focused on inclusive climate transition in Southeast Asia, before founding GenCap. Across his investment career, Zac has deployed over $200 million across early-stage, growth equity, leveraged buyouts, public equities, and venture funds. His portfolio includes VNLife (VN), PayMaya (PH), Endowus (SG), Arkadiah (SG), Abound (UK), Puppet Enterprise (US, exited), MOKA POS (ID, exited), Bank Jago (ID, exited), Okapi Solar (MY), and Fable Food (AU). He has also taken LP positions in regional managers including Jungle, Peak XV, East Ventures, Forge Ventures, and Golden Gate Ventures. Zac holds a First Class Honours in Engineering from the National University of Singapore, an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD, and the CFA Charter. He brings an engineer's rigor, an operator's instincts, and a decade of cross-asset investing experience to building GenCap, investing financial and intellectual capital in the bedrock of Southeast Asian economies.
