I am qualified Building Services Engineer and a Construction Delay Analyst having over 37 years experience in the construction industry, 31 of which have been in the Middle East. I have significant experience in project management, project control, project administration, pre-tender planning, contract programming, and delay analysis. Experience has been gained working in the UK, Egypt, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Indonesia, Morocco and the UAE. Projects include O&G, Airports, Schools, Shopping Centres, Residential apartments and villas, Mining Facility, Offices, TV Studios, Hotels, F1 Racing Circuit and bridges. The scope of work required on these projects has been varied, from Project Management, Master Planning, review of programmes / progress, Claims preparation, Delay Analysis and preparation for Arbitration. Since 2000 I have worked in the delay analysis field and currently manage a team of Planning Consultants as well as working directly for Clients on various projects. • As Managing Partner at Decerno Consultancy, I am responsible for overseeing the business and management support of Consultants on their projects. • Developed and reviewed project programmes, progress monitoring, and delay analysis for various projects. • Prepared claims, defended against claims, and provided independent reports for clients across different sectors, as well as acting as a Delay Expert in Arbitration. • Conducted Planning & Delay Analysis Seminars to enhance industry knowledge and skills.
As well as being hands on working directly for clients, I manage a team of Planning Consultants. We provide all aspects of planning from Master planning through to Delay Analysis for Clients in the UAE, Gulf Region, Africa and Asia.
