Using the practice of focusing and meditation, Leah clears fears and limiting beliefs, and teaches them to use their unique gifts, discover the type of work and conscious business they can thrive in, and manifest the money that is theirs to make in this world. Leah has over 10 years of experience as an entrepreneur as Founder of Trans-Comm Translations & Communications where she and her team translated subtitles for over one hundred short and feature-length films, several of which won international awards. To complete her studies after her Bachelor's degree from McGill in Communications & Psychology, Leah pursued a Personal & Professional Coaching Certification from Concordia University. To take her coaching skills and practice further, she was mentored by a number of top Life & Business mentors in the United States. Leah coaches privately and facilitates experiential coaching workshops in English and French.
- Worked in tandem with the Communications, Development, Administrative teams and Faculty. - Created and implemented strategic cross-functional event and travel coordination and communication processes for Dean Peter Todd, Desautels Faculty of Management. - Managed an international VIP volunteer network of over 170 high-profile members maximizing their giving and engagement at the University, resulting in doubling their annual giving total ($200,000 total). - Developed and managed an engagement program for the international VIP volunteer network, greatly increasing the number of engaged members within the first year (from 10 to 40 members). - Strategically coordinated guest lectures with professors and for research and development projects. - Managed meetings, communications, and increased engagement for the Desautels Faculty International Advisory Board. - Supervised, managed, and trained development interns and one support staff member.
Developmental Assignment - Organised university and high-profile development events for Principal Heather Munroe-Blum. - Strategically worked with the development team to increase the number of and engagement of private high-profile events for the Principal during McGill's Capital Campaign. - Engaged international Capital Campaign Board members to become further involved with University activities. - Managed and implemented a stewardship program for high-profile donors. - Acted as the liaison between the Development & Alumni Relations Office as well as the Provost's office and Principal Munroe-Blum's team of seven Vice-Principals. - Supervised an intern.
- Contributed to the development of the Professional Development department within the Development & Alumni Relations office, increasing professional development engagement and conference funding awareness for advancement professionals. - Facilitated on-boarding workshops for new advancement professionals. - Co-presented "Effective On-boarding" at CASE conference. - Organised and managed professional development workshops and webinars for advancement professionals.
