About

I’m a Doctoral Candidate in Sociology at the Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI) in Stockholm. My core interest lies within the field of comparative social policy and particularly the transition phases of young people from school to work, education or parenthood. In my dissertation I am planning to investigate the multidimensionality of (dis)advantage and how this affects the school-to-work transition in diverse policy contexts. The question of “how well (or how badly) do welfare states buffer against the risks of multidimensional disadvantage that young people experience?” motivates my research. Further interests build around aspects scarring effects of disadvantage throughout the life course.
