I am a member of the Consortium of Information Systems Executives, a small group of top Bay Area IT executives who meet to share expertise, advise startups, and mentor new technology leaders. I was hired to run Production Ops, Security, Compliance and IT, and to bring them to the next level as we expand our Machine Learning / AI product into new, demanding verticals such as Financial Crime investigation and Anti-Money-Laundering. In short, to run Big Data, securely. • Working with the Business and the Customer to help secure our largest ever deals and secure a profitable new vertical in Financial Crimes, onboarding some of the world’s top-tier banks • Launched Quantifind's Security and Compliance function, enabling us to pass Finance Industry level penetration testing and auditing • Log analysis and anomaly detection across the product, resulting in full operational visibility • Managed the transition to encryption at rest and in transit for our entire data pipeline • Worked across teams to debug data flow bottlenecks, resulting in a more efficient architecture • Led project to integrate customer identity providers with the product via SAML SSO • Production network redesign resulting in dramatically increased speed and product uptime • Partnered with Engineering to set and meet secure coding standards • Managed and grew the Production Ops (DevOps) team • Formalized run-rate and incremental budget with Finance to ensure ability to deliver business goals Quantifind’s mission is to empower people to make better decisions that combine human intuition with the voice of intelligent data.
