Managed a team of 5 members while being the SPOC for the client and the faculty to devise a model for inventory optimization. Solution architect of the problem. A deep learning model that forecasts the SKUs to put in a store to maximize the overall expected profits based on the previous sales history and the demographic makeup of customers. The results of this model will be fed into a reinforcement learning model (in an OPEN AI GYM environment) to fetch the optimal combination of SKUs for which the order needs to be placed to the vendor, considering budget constraints, liquidity optimization and meeting the maximum forecasted demand. Outcomes: 1. The project helped the client to increase their yearly cash liquidity by ~10%. 2. Weekly sales of 150,000 products were predicted 15% better than traditional figures thereby improved customer satisfaction.
