Sagemcom activities: In the context of Residential Gateways for Orange (Livebox), I'm handling the conception/qualification/certification of the Gateway. Technical domains impacted are: WAN Connectivity (ADSL, VDSL, FTTH), Wifi (2.4GHz, 5GHz), CAT-iq 2.0, Network (Ethernet, Routing, UPnP IGD, UPnP A/V, DLNA). I'm accountable to the synchronization of the technical project managers (Mechanics, Hardware, Software, ...) and to the support of the factories in order to help the production. Philips / NXP activities: With a background of software development, I've quickly moved to the lead of a team in the PC world by building an Audio/Video player (MPEG-4 Player). Therefore I focused on the lead of projects in the embedded device (Smartphone devices), first under Symbian OS and therefore under Windows Mobile. Now, I'm managing projects for Low End platforms which lead to have very high volume of units, therefore risk & cost estimation is now fully part of my job. Communication with customers is the most important part of the job by tracking the projects and the development team. Customers are phone manufacturers and mainly based in Asia (China & Taiwan) and USA. Specialties: Project management, cost & risk estimation, writing specifications, statement of work, . Latest Technical knowledges : Developement & Management under LowCost platform based on ARM7. Windows Win32 dev, Symbian OS, Windows Mobile (2003 & 5.0) for Smartphone, A/V codecs (MPEG-4, H.264, eAAC+ ..), Streaming (RTP/RTSP), SIP (OMA/PoC, VoIP).
I manage the development of the gateway products for Orange Group and Bouygues Telecom (Residential and Profesionnal gateways): .Synchronize the technical project managers (Hardware, Software, Mechanics, ...). .Support the customer to define and adjust their requirements .Accountable to the conception, qualification, certification, budget of the products. .Direct support to the factories. .Active followup of the products / steering committee with customers.

In the domain of the embedded software, I'm currently in charge of being the contact between the customer, the sale and the development groups. Tracking the projects, (hours and efficiency of the project) is part of my current job. Some technical prospectives in background are also part of the job in order to be aware of new technologies to be used with our products and to know where our ISV group can collaborate with other companies.
In the domain of the development of 3D graphics and video (MPEG-4), the main goal of this is to integrate a MPEG-4 Video Decoder into MPEG-4 3D world (aka BIFS). The way to describe a scene is based under VRML language. The prototype of this application has been demonstrated to the IBC'98 show (at Amsterdam, Netherlands) and lead to the creation of the 'Nettec' group into the Philips company.
