Thesis title : "Development of noise characterization setup in 110 – 320 GHz frequency range" Abstract: With the cut-off frequencies improvement of silicon transistors in CMOS and BiCMOS technologies, the design of applications over 110 GHz is now possible. Prior research in common lab between STMicroelectronics and IEMN allowed methodologies and characterization studies in small signal up to 325 GHz and noise up to 110 GHz. The thesis objective was the development of noise characterization setup over 110 GHz to allow four noise parameters extraction on CMOS and BiCMOS technologies. Activities : - Noise, S parameters and DC characterization and modeling of transistors and devices up to 325 GHz. - RF design : impedance tuner (for noise measurements), test structures... Softwares : - Agilent ADS, Cadence Virtuoso, Ansoft HFSS, Agilent ICCAP Tools : - Spectrum analyzer, Network analyzer, Noise measurement systems...
