I manage the shipping and receiving operations for a 3 shift production facility that manufactures corrugated boxes and displays. Shipping is done with private fleet trucks as well as common carrier LTL and truckload shipments. I have a team of 20 that report to me and help me accomplish the daily routing and shipments to our customers near and far.
I primarily supervise the shipping and receiving operation on second and third shift. I was recently certified in GSTD (Go See Think Do), a problem solving methodology. I am a member of the supply chain WOR (Weekly Operations Review) team and the Business Recovery Plan team. I manage the safety training through Alchemy Systems.
