My journey in medicine started when I was a volunteer and discovered a newfound interest in the emergency department. I proceeded to get certified as a CNA and PCT and started working as an ED tech at my local hospital. My work as an ED tech granted me the experience required to attend PA school. I graduated with my masters degree in Physician Assistant studies from Marist College in June 2021. Shortly after graduating, I started working in the ED at Clara Maass Medical Center. I have met such great people along my journey and have learned so much about myself and in medicine. Between my hard work, dedication, and commitment, I know my journey is only beginning and I cannot wait to see what further opportunities come my way.
Responsible for receiving, sending, and organizing multiple clients' clinical documentation regarding home care services. Ability to request pre-authorization for client home health services through various software and health insurance companies, and maintain medical supply orders for the client's home. Ultimately managing over 150 workers compensation, veterans administration, and commercial insurance cases to ensure high quality of care.
