Whether it’s savoring the mustard from my hometown Schwerte, exploring the beer museum in my birthplace Dortmund or enjoying the annual strawberry picking in Germany's fields – every destination offers unique foods and culinary traditions. Experiences like wine walks, brewery tours and food festivals shape a destination's food identity and leave lasting impressions on visitors. 🍴🌏 A strong strategic food tourism plan can create a memorable culinary image for any destination. Just as Argentina is known for its steaks, Italy for Aperol Spritz and Brazil for its coffee, each region has its own culinary heritage waiting to be highlighted. Yet, the importance of culinary heritage is often overlooked. Do you still remember how your grandparents prepared your favorite dish? 🤔 With the global food tourism market projected to reach $1.8 trillion by 2027 at an annual growth rate of 17.4% 📈, there are immense opportunities. Despite this growth, the potential of food tourism remains underutilised, especially among destination marketers, food producers and event organisers. 🌱 Food tourism goes far beyond iconic festivals like Oktoberfest in Munich. Day-trippers, business travellers, hikers, cyclists and even local residents are eager to explore regional delicacies. My goal? To preserve and celebrate your destination’s culinary heritage to generate economic and socio-cultural benefits for all stakeholders. As an International Food Tourism Consultant, I help destinations develop culinary tourism strategies, along with hands-on support in organising, marketing and realising culinary tourism products. With my expertise in food tourism, my creativity and communication skills, a structured, solutions-focused approach and strong organisational skills, I am here to help establish your destination as a culinary hotspot. 🍴🌏 ➡️ Visit foodtourismmanagement.com for more information, connect with me on LinkedIn or text me via [email protected] for a casual chat.
