My community leadership has been recognized by numerous organizations, including the Colorado Rockies Hispanic Community Leadership Award, the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce ATHENA Award, and the Mothers Against Drunk Driving/Colorado Department of Transportation Dr. Robert E. Weltzer Outstanding Dedication to Traffic Safety award. I serve as an appointee to the National Academy of Science’s Behavioral Traffic Safety Program Panel and the Texas A&M Transportation Institute Youth Safety Program Cross-Disciplinary Team.
