Provided individualized academic and emotional support to underrepresented high school students, helping them navigate stress, confidence barriers, and learning challenges. Built trusting, supportive relationships with groups of 5–15 students using trauma-informed and culturally responsive communication strategies. Identified students’ academic and socio-emotional needs and connected them with additional resources when appropriate.
Provided holistic support to first-generation, low-income students by assessing needs, answering questions, and connecting them to academic, financial, and wellness resources. Tracked student progress, workshop attendance, and program eligibility using confidential databases—mirroring case management documentation practices. Offered culturally responsive guidance and referrals to promote student retention, well-being, and crisis prevention.
Assisted diverse student populations in navigating complex institutional systems (financial aid, enrollment, college resources), improving access to support services. Maintained and processed sensitive documents (VISAs, passports, SSNs) with high degree of confidentiality. Provided one-on-one and group guidance to prospective and current students, answering questions, reducing anxiety, and offering supportive communication.
Supported qualitative research focused on participant lived experiences by analyzing interviews from 200+ individuals, strengthening understanding of behavioral and psychosocial factors.
