I got the idea of founding the German Chapter during the Reunion 2019 at the HBS Campus in Cambridge MA. I was surprised that in Germany so far no chapter existed. At the same time Germany has a vivid start-up ecosystem. “If it is not there, I am going to found it.”, was my thought. The idea was born and quickly I found some very engaged Alumni to support me in my vision. Today the German Chapter of HBSAA is driven by volunteers from the HBS alumni community in Germany and open for all HBS Alumni. The chapter is supported by the Harvard Business School Association of Germany, the global Harvard Business School Alumni Angels organization and officially authorized by Harvard Business School. We aim to conduct every quarter a pitch night with up to four carefully selected start-ups. On average we can host between 30 and 40 accredited investors.
