20+ years building beverage brands — alcoholic and non-alcoholic — across importing, distribution, founding, and operating. I work hands-on, not from a slide deck: sitting in on distributor pitches, reviewing TTB submissions before they go out, walking the co-packer floor, and pricing the SKU on a real spreadsheet. What I cover, end to end: production strategy (maltose negative yeastvs. dealcoholization, co-packer vs. in-house), TTB and state compliance, three-tier pricing that holds up under distributor margins, distributor selection and onboarding, National Accounts execution, and brand positioning in categories getting more crowded every quarter. I’ve built across all three sides of this industry: founded Momentum Brewery (NY’s first NA-only craft brewery, using proprietary Maltose Negative yeast), co-founded and scaled ProofNoMore to 500+ SKUs before exiting end of 2025, and spent two decades importing and launching beer, wine and spirit brands including Andechs, Rothaus, and Crabbie’s across 40+ states — including Crabbie’s launch to 350,000+ cases and 1,600+ Kroger listings as Brand Manager at St. Killian. NA is where the strongest growth is happening, but the operating fundamentals are the same on both sides. Consulting with established beverage brands to innovate and/or re-brand. Also advising startup brands to avoid costly mistakes and make them understand the complexity of the industry. Looking for speaking engagements for my MINDFUL DRINKING book. Operator-led advisory practice for founders building beverage brands — alcoholic and non-alcoholic — from concept through retail launch. Operating under the Fresh Momentum Inc. umbrella, the parent company of Momentum Brewery. Anchored in two decades of building beverage brands across all three sides of the industry: Momentum Brewery (NA brand currently in market), ProofNoMore (co-founded and scaled the largest U.S. NA marketplace to 500+ SKUs, exited end of 2025), and 20+ years of alcoholic beverage importing and U.S. distribution for brands including Andechs, Rothaus, and Crabbie's. Founders work with me when they want operator-grade input before committing to production runs, distributors, or retail pitches that are hard to walk back. WHAT I COVER: ■ Brand and product positioning across alcoholic and NA categories ■ Production decisions: arrested fermentation vs. dealcoholization, yeast selection, co-packer evaluation ■ TTB, FDA, and state regulatory navigation ■ Pricing and unit economics through the three-tier system ■ Distributor selection and wholesale strategy timing ■ Retail buyer conversations and on-premise rollout ■ Capital strategy and founder-to-founder introductions Discovery call: [email protected]
After 20 years in the alcoholic beverage industry—importing, wholesaling, and retailing beer, wine, and spirits—launching MOMENTUM Non-Alcoholic felt like the natural next chapter. Both our industry and our lifestyles are shifting toward more mindful, balanced drinking experiences, and we’re excited to help lead that change. At Momentum, we brew differently. Powered by our Genius Yeast, we never need to de-alcoholize our beer. The yeast does the work for us, allowing all the incredible flavor, body, and character to stay right where it belongs—in the brew. Our portfolio includes a growing line of non-alcoholic beers (<0.5% ABV) along with Race Brew 0.0, the first racing-inspired alcohol-free beer in cooperation with @ptautosport The future of drinking is evolving—and we’re here to fuel it with Momentum. Cheers to what’s next. 🍻
Co-founded and helped build the largest expert-driven non-alcoholic marketplace in the U.S. — scaling from launch in 2021 to 500+ SKUs across NA beer, zero-proof spirits, dealcoholized wine, mocktails, and mixers before stepping away at the end of 2025 to focus full-time on Momentum Brewery and Fresh Momentum Consulting. ■ Co-founded with industry veterans Ed Carino and Christian Blake at the onset of the pandemic, anticipating the shift in consumer demand toward NA ■ Built D2C operations shipping nationwide and B2B distribution across the greater New York area ■ Navigated state-by-state alcohol/NA shipping compliance — a regulatory burden that prevents most marketplaces from operating at national scale ■ Curated the portfolio that became the reference point for the U.S. NA category ■ Developed the Bundle Builder feature, giving consumers a low-risk way to sample across brands — a category-specific solution to NA's "I don't know what I'll like" buyer hesitation ■ Exited on strong terms after a successful 5-year build
After nearly seven years at Baldor Specialty Foods, I’m proud to reflect on the many roles and accomplishments from my time there. I had the opportunity to help launch a full-service beer and cider distribution business, support the D2C program during COVID, and later contribute to the growth of the Retail department. Most recently, as a Key Account Manager, I worked with an incredible team to manage and support some of Baldor’s most important foodservice customers. Grateful for the journey, the learning, and the people who made it all possible.
