I undertook several roles at Woodville West Torrens football club including, selling grandstand tickets to members, organising sponsors/ signage, game day set up, social media and general organising around the club all whilst adhering to the COVID requirements at the time. I assisted in the organisation of the Club champion with tasks such as greeting guests, invitations, and seating plans. Gameday is where I complete most of my work such as sponsorship activations and signage, MC coordination and VIP game day lunches. This placement has since developed into a causal job for season 2022. While developing work experience, I was able to understand that extra step it takes to work within sport, the need for caring, passionate people will strive to achieve greatness which are traits I possess.
I have worked as a causal McDonalds worker from the age of 14 to current time. This job has allowed me to build up excellent communication, quick thinking and problem-solving skills.
I volunteered as a netball coach for 3 years and am now employed by Mary Mackillop College coordinating and coaching as part of their school-based netball programme. Having been around a close sporting community I have learnt how to make great connections and understand the work that goes on behind the scenes.
