Project Leader
Designed and synthesized compounds for projects in neuroscience using ligand- and structure-based drug design. Collaborated with colleagues in Biology, PKDM, and Safety for selection and delivery of compounds for new assays and in vivo studies. Managed a team of up to six external FTEs to deliver analogues, intermediates and multigram compound lots for toxicological studies. Participated in outreach activities including panels for visiting students and community event for Cambridge Science Festival.
Designed and synthesized protein-targeting chimeras (PROTACs) for degradation of targets in multiple disease areas bearing variation in E3 ligase binder and linker. Enabled chemistry for synthesis of linkers bearing modified physicochemical properties. Synthesized Bruton’s tyrosine kinase (BTK) PROTACs for study of cooperativity.
Provided synthetic support for enabling chemistry in projects across the Pfizer portfolio utilizing route optimization, biocatalysis, reaction monitoring using ReactIR, and Design of Experiment. Collaborated in discovery as well as development projects.
Studied synthetic strategies towards marine polyethers as a postdoctoral associate in the laboratory of Professor Timothy Jamison.
Developed a library of compounds for testing in a biological assay for potential cardiovascular applications. Assisted in synthesis of intermediates for Alzheimer's research.
