Advancing healthcare processes through innovative technologies has always been a passion of mine. Growing up, I was always drawn to STEM, curious to discover how and why things work. This curiosity, along with being exposed to the biomedical field at an early age, led me to pursue a major in Biomedical Engineering. My academic journey has equipped me with a solid foundation in key concepts in biomedical engineering, complemented by a minor in Data Analytics. Proficient in programming languages such as R and Python, I am adept at leveraging data-driven insights to enhance decision-making processes.
• Spearheaded the automation of quality control data management by developing two centralized SQL databases, reducing data retrieval times by over 50%, and enhancing yield troubleshooting processes. • Designed and refined multiple Power BI dashboards to dynamically monitor UV photolithography machine yields and to expand the reach of quality control data to over 50 office staff within the Engineering and Quality Control departments. • Engineered Python scripts to automate the extraction and visualization of critical operational data, slashing data retrieval and processing time by 70%. • Gained comprehensive expertise in DNA microarray manufacturing through applying biomedical engineering principles learned during university studies, facilitating more effective collaboration across departments and improved efficiency in executing related tasks. • Conducted comprehensive investigations into line drifts, yield discrepancies, and chemical recovery processes using statistical tools like JMP, Excel, and Python, resulting in a 20% increase in production efficiency through targeted process adjustments. • Collaborated closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Quality Control, to enhance data analysis frameworks and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Oversaw financial operations, including maintaining accurate financial records for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. • Processed over 15 Request for Payment (RFP) forms to provide compensation to fellow Committee members and external parties for organizational expenses. • Facilitated over 10 interdepartmental equipment rentals (amplifiers, microphones, etc.) for internal and external performances as a revenue source for NUS Amplified.
• Completed, compiled, and updated research notes and presentation slides for 5 national academic conferences. • Coordinated the organization of data literacy workshops, particularly in AI tools (i.e. ChatGPT, Zotero) and programming languages (R) for over 30 attendees. • Coordinated with a team of 4 Research Interns and Research Associates to fulfill deadlines for various research projects relating to Digital Transformation and AI Governance.
• Led planning of up to 5 workshops and events organization undertook throughout academic year. • Oversaw the Training Cell workshops (Photoshop, Excel, and Python) with up to 20 attendees and contributed feedback to improve participants' experience. • Organized charITeach 2022, a voluntary student-led initiative aimed to teach basic programming to 15 children and teen participants living in foster homes.
• Designed graphics and drafted captions for 5 social media posts to promote new medical products. • Created summary videos (in collaboration with fellow Marketing Interns) for 2 Medhyve-organized webinars focusing on advancements in AI in the healthcare field. • Collaborated with a team of 3 Marketing Interns to expand marketing channels on Facebook and Instagram.
