Experience

  • Founder | Community Health & Patient Support Initiative at Denis Asuagbor Association (DAA)
    Jan 2026 - Present · 6 mos

After a personal sabbatical period during which I supported my late father through his final months, I am now leading a new chapter of community-focused work through the Denis Asuagbor Association (DAA). Although the Association carries the name of the late Denis Asuagbor — remembered for integrity, discipline, and service — his passing was not cancer-related. The work we do reflects the values he lived by: standing with people during difficult moments and strengthening community care. DAA is a community health initiative dedicated to: • Cancer awareness and early detection education • Patient navigation support • Community outreach in underserved populations • Health education campaigns in local markets and communities In 2025, we conducted colon cancer and cervical cancer awareness campaigns in Buea, reaching community members directly in market settings and collecting valuable field data to better understand awareness gaps and barriers to screening. The focus now is to expand structured patient navigation and strengthen partnerships with health institutions to improve access to care.
