As an educator and researcher, I am driven to make teaching and research a meaningful part of the learning experience. My research interests include curriculum, educational psychology, and inquiry in science education. I have a wealth of instructional experience in biological sciences ranging from AP Biology to Zoology. I participate in educational outreach and informal education for the public, incorporating popular media and literature in science fiction, fantasy, and horror. I also do work as science consultant for popular media.
