I am currently an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Psychiatry and Experimental Medicine at King's College London, UK. My aim is to advance the understanding and treatment of psychiatric disease by bridging the gap between basic and applied science. I am interested in the biology of the limbic system, affective neuroscience, neuroimaging, neuromodulation, and antidepressant action. I have experience in functional neuroimaging, clinical trials, preclinical research, scientific writing, and behavioural neuroscience. I have published multiple papers in journals such as Nature Communications, PNAS and Neuron, on the roles of the anterior cingulate cortex in depression, anhedonia and emotion regulation. I have also contributed to university teaching and medical education, as well as public engagement and media communication.
Affiliated researcher at Centre for Affective Disorders and Centre for Neuroimaging Sciences, KCL.
I am an International Handling Editor at BJPsych Open.
