I am a civil engineering graduate with a strong commitment to driving socially impactful projects in my field. I also have a very keen interest in promoting equity in STEM. As a member of WomInTech, I am passionate about fostering gender balance in the industry, having experienced firsthand the meaningful change that these initiatives can create. My engineering background, coupled with my dedication to positive social change, fuels my motivation to make a lasting impact in both the technical and community-driven roles as an engineer.
Shadowing the project manager for the site management to monitor the progress of the site. Additionally, one of the many aspects of the work also involved drawing up a financial sched as well as meeting potential clients, contracts and architects.
Negotiate the budget for the organisation of events in partnership with companies. Also negotiate gender equality grants for WomInTech. Organise internships for students to visit certain positions as engineers in different companies.
Represent the school during official scholar events to promote engineering to students in secondary. Help them navigate in the sometimes complex world that higher studies can be so that they can choose wisely and in full knowledge of the facts about going into engineering.
Develop a recruitement strategy that is suitable for TeachforBelgium. It is a non-profit organization aiming to reduce educational inequalities with the help of motivated scholars. Our goal was to help promote an unbiased education system and try to involve as much as possible young motivated scholars with a diverse cultural background. In charge of the digital marketing team for the mission, my goal was to improve the visibility of Teachforbelgium on the different social medias and attract more multicultural profiles. For this, we proceeded with a solution tree and worked the targeted public with focus groups and got to know their needs. Some of our recommendations were taken by the organization and they will be implementing them with our help during the next few weeks
