• Expertise on tannery process and tanning, dyeing, finishing formulation • Solid knowledge and experience on CMP formulation, CMP pad and CMP process • Strong know-how on formulation and acrylics & polyurethane-based coating & process • Continuous 11 years chemistry education and extensive 16 years working experience in chemical industry • Instruments experience: GC/MS, LC/MS, HPLC, FT-IR, Raman, NMR, MS, XRD, TGA/FTIR-MS, DSC, ICP, UV-Vis, PL, TEM and SEM/EDX, Haze, RI, rheology, viscosity meter etc. • Effective management skill, team-oriented leadership, and efficient communications • Self-motivated, well organized, highly efficient and passion to deliver excellent results
• Member of Executive Committee and Singapore Site Leadership Team • Lead a technical department including R&D, new product development (NPD) and Testing lab • Responsible for trouble shooting on site for our 24/7 production team and provide technical support for our luxury brands customers • Provide expert advice in formulation of pretreatment, tanning, dyeing, various finishing. • Key contributor in customer interfacing with technical expertise in up-to-date technology • Responsible for generation iconic new colors/finishings for luxury brands customers • Manage CTC and SGS approved lab activities and establish the latest testing protocol which align with top luxury Brands
• Lead key projects：Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) solution for metal, alloy, glass, ceramics, silicon wafer etc. including CMP process, CMP polishing pad and slurry formulations • Set up a R&D center with instruments lab, synthetic lab/pilot plant and polishing lab etc. recruit and lead a R&D team. Build up a QC lab and QC team with SOP, STP, ASTM, DMAIC. Managing R&D, QC and NPI three functional teams. • In charge of new products development & commercialization from lab, pilot plant, to high volume manufacturing (HVM) scale; work closely with supply chain, production (~ S$ 40 million annually) and marketing & sales departments • Interface with suppliers by technical sourcing; Grow internal R&D capability and secure IP position. Analyze competing technology/corporations • Project management; organize team weekly reports and technical seminars; strategically guide R&D direction and allocate resource with balanced priority & timeline etc. • Build the collaborations with Peking university, European partners etc. provide state of art solution to customers • Selected key customers: Jabil; Huawei; Apple; BYD; Foxconn; Samsung; BOEN etc.
• Lead key projects：Advanced integrated circuit (IC) devices and hard disk drive chemical mechanical polishing slurry formulation and methods. • Development & commercialization of semiconductor CMP slurry formulation; Project leader on innovative product development • Interface with suppliers, to technically source suitable raw materials to drive product performance. • Project management; design and analysis on results, drive formulations to final products. • Provide technical solutions to customers; scale up from lab, pilot plant to HVM
• Lead Key projects：UV patternable PU coating, epoxy and acrylate thermal/UV or dual curing, solventborne or waterborne acrylates formulation, roll to roll coating, photovoltaic solar cell, silver nanoparticle and carbon nanotube CNT based conductive ink, printable conductive film, quantum dot mass production by continuous reactor, fluorescent QDs for QLED display, • Lead a R&D team on development of acrylate coating formulation & functional coatings by roll-to-roll coating process at pilot plant scale. • Project leader on innovative product development; Securing strong IP position, IP landscape analysis. • Build the collaborations with industry partners and customers; providing compelling products to customers; running the lab under HSEQ requirement
• Independently conducting research activities on synthesis and applications of nanomaterials • Supervising & mentoring research group of graduates and honors students
