Passionate material scientist currently doing his PhD on the topic of 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗜𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 - 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝘆𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 at the Montanuniversität Leoben. I focus on creating novel materials for solid-state hydrogen storage and unraveling the underlying mechanisms of hydrogen absorption. This highly interdisciplinary topic perfectly allows me to combine my knowledge in chemistry and materials science obtained during my studies. Previous research activities focused on solid-state Li-ion batteries.
• Research activities in the field of solid-state hydrogen storage • Preperation and characterization of porous and hybrid materials • Structural characterization using electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction • Probing the absorption properties of metal hydrides
Master thesis at the Institute of Chemistry and Technology of Materials in collaboration with MIT - Department of Materials Science and Engineering Topic: Ion dynamics in nanostructured Li10GeP2S12 and Li10GeP2S11.7O0.3 • Solid-state synthesis, nanostructuring by ball milling • Structural characterization by XRD, Raman spectroscopy and solid-state NMR • Probing of conductivity and ion dynamics using impedance spectroscopy and NMR spin-lattice relaxometry
• R&D - Supporting multiple projects • Surface preparation of Al foils for application in aluminum electrolytic capacitors • Fabrication of free-standing and flexible ceramic foils
• R&D – Department for protective coatings • Working on independent project • Production, application und analysis of paints
