In this role, I design, develop, refine, and review road design plans for highway construction projects, aimed at enhancing public safety and improving the State's transportation infrastructure.
• Perform project management for design and construction of highway and bridge projects. Manage multi-disciplined teams consisting of consultants, inhouse design engineers, and CDOT specialty units. Manage consultants and administer consultant contracts. • Develop and evaluate roadway construction plans, specifications, and estimates. Analyze designs for potential problems and develop alternatives. • Facilitate communication between CDOT specialty units, FHWA, local agencies, and other entities. • Administer local agency flood recovery projects, initiate task orders for design and construction phases, monitor design and construction, approve requests for reimbursement, and assist in "finaling" projects. • Request field surveys, environmental studies, traffic studies, right-of-way information, hydrology/hydraulic designs, structural designs, and utility location/relocations. • Conduct public meetings.
Develop and lead an Area Team to mobilize and equip individuals, churches, and groups in designated areas to become actively involved in sharing the hope of Jesus Christ through Search for Jesus (SFJ). Provide spiritual leadership and focus for Area Team in line with High Impact principles and biblical foundations. Encourage the sharing of prayer requests among ministry team. Continue to stay abreast of SFJ initiatives, resources, and expectations. Communicate regularly with the Regional Manager and BGEA Main office. Participate in regularly scheduled Area Coordinator conference calls. Meet at least twice per year with SFJ Field Staff for training, planning, and program development. Communicate twice monthly with all volunteers within assigned area. • Coordinate 4 annual opportunities for team members to interact in person with one another. • Perform an annual review and recommitment meeting with each team member. Engage in 4 Personal interactions/communications each year with each team member (including Annual Review and Recommitment) Attend annual SFJ Conference and Regional Connection and Training events in your area as well as encourage team participation. Work toward the accomplishment of established area and ministry goals. Provide monthly updates and reports to SFJ Regional Manager. Provide input and feedback to SFJ staff on beneficial training and resources for volunteer effectiveness. Participate in ongoing personal development with other Area Coordinators and SFJ staff through books, studies, and seminars
