I am an ambitious manager who believes the people and process needs to work together in order to achieve success. • I was a manager in the Alternative Investments Practice, with a significant exposure to private equity and hedge funds. • In my first month as manager I was selected out of a group of 9 manager by senior leadership to go on a client secondment. This secondment required of me to dedicate a full day to the project, whilst ensuring my manger responsibilities at KPMG were not neglected. • My main responsibility was managing the people above and below me to ensure my portfolio of 81 international clients are serviced at the highest possible standard. I was responsible for a portfolio of just over US$1 million in business and was able to deliver on all of these. • Key skills I gained in my role include; the ability to simultaneously handle various tasks, enhance client relationships, lead my teams to meet stringent deadlines and finally deal with difficult client and staff discussions. • The part of my role that I enjoyed most was working with people from various backgrounds and bringing them together to create one cohesive team that works to achieve exceptional results whilst feeling as though they are part of a family.
Key skills developed in this position were the further development of technical skills as well as managerial skills. Incredible personal development in terms of time management, ability to handle stress and capability of systematically working through large workloads.
Completed my 3 years of articles in the Consumer Industry Products and Services division of PWC Johannesburg obtaining a broad exposure in various manufacturing, retail and logistics companies during this time.
