Cross-functionally lead 20-person staff advising commander of 442- paratrooper Battalion Task Force on planning training, control, and supervision of operations. Plan and lead training. • Analyzed requirements; planned/led logistics to safely redeploy 300 paratroopers from Syria/Iraq with no COVID-19 cases. • Planned, developed, and directed execution of operations orders; ensured all tasks were completed ahead of deadlines. • Cross-functionally led military decision-making process for 442 personnel; led successful implementation of process improvements and changes to 3rd/4th quarter schedules; effectively supported 82nd Airborne Initial Reaction Force.
Led 10-person team in US and for 4 months in Iraq planning and managing transportation, supply support, and services for 442-person battalion. Advised commander on logistics. Developed and led implementation of logistical systems and policies. Managed over $500 million in operations and maintenance funds. • Liaised with senior foreign leaders to synchronize logistics for largest cargo air movement operation in Iraq for 57 containers, vehicles and ammunition; efficiently closed Taji Military Complex and moved assets to Jordan and Syria. • Led planning for cargo air drop into Syria; rapidly established operations in Syria in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. • Managed transport of 126 equipment assets, 25 weapon systems and 30 ammunition types from US to Iraq with no losses. • Deployed to Iraq and assumed role of battalion officer-in-charge for 29 days; coordinated with forward logistics element, support battalion, and 600-person sister battalion; ensured effective logistical support for 2,000-person brigade. • Developed and led implementation of improved logistical and financial systems that streamlined support for 5 companies; established internal battle rhythm and updated standard operating procedures; ensured no loss of government funds. • Completed 6-month Maneuver Captains Career Course.
Supported planning, coordination, and supervision of logistical support systems during deployments, field training, and garrison operations for 687-person Stryker Infantry Battalion. Planned and directed battalion unit movements to transport cargo and personnel from home base to training locations. • Managed effective expenditure of $1.7 million annual operations budget as battalion financial analyst; optimized accountability; resulted in no financial losses; equipped battalion with best equipment in brigade, optimizing readiness. • Directed logistics to out-load equipment and personnel for 9 unit movement operations to both Yakima Training Center and National Training Center; ensured on-time and safe arrival of 600 personnel and over $250 million of equipment.
