• Facilitate bring-up of HITL (hardware-in-the-loop) testbed for a novel vehicle • Develop simulation for a Frangibolt payload release mechanism in HITL and HOOTL (hardware-out-of-the-loop) test environments • Implement simulation of a spacecraft’s environmental control and life support system using a fluid system simulator library
• Fuzz a hardware out of the loop mission simulation program using Google’s AFL library in LLVM mode with delayed forkserver initialization • Document, characterize, and propose potential solutions to discovered bugs using gdb, valgrind, and other debugging tools • Develop Python package to unpack, interpret, and repack binary representations of C structures across multiple platforms
• Developed features in a Python test orchestrator framework to streamline the execution of astronaut and operator training simulations in the lead up to the first crew dragon flight • Added automation features including sending batched ground and vehicle commands as well as injecting anomalies during simulations • Rolled out and handed off the above tools to the operator training and integration teams for future use and development
