• Throughout my career in the RAF, I maintained my clinical experience within the wider community and the NHS, engaging in clinics in the National Health System in the UK. This allowed me to engage and treat all ages and provide care for acute, chronic and complex conditions seen in the general population and according to National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines.
• I was the Senior doctor managing a team of 5-8 doctors and up to 50 other staff. I had overall responsibility for clinical ¬care in the medical centre and am the practice lead for Safe Guarding, Child Protection, Confidentiality of Information and Peer Review and audit process. • I also maintain a busy clinical schedule and provide the highest quality, evidence-based primary health care to military staff and their families. • I was the Commanding Officer for the pharmacy. My responsibilities were to ensure that all clinical staff follow appropriate prescribing practice and keep up-to-date with current medication changes through audits and regular review meetings and training. • I have extensive experience in Aviation and Occupational Medicine and am a qualified Military Aviation Medical Examiner. I regularly review the medical and occupational health of air and ground crew of fixed and rotary air frames. I performed pre-employment examinations as well as role-specific occupational medical reviews for military person-nel. • I was a GP specialist in Ophthalmology and Dermatology. I received referrals from other GPs in the east region of the UK, seeking advice on more complex cases in these subjects. I also conducted minor surgery clinics in dermatology for the region. • As a member of the Senior Executive Team of the Station, I was responsible for communicating any clinical and occupational issues and ensuring that appropriate action is taken. For example, I advised and led on the Station’s COVID mitigation measures.
