My work focuses on glass materials modeling, FEM simulation as well as ML-based surrogate modeling for the hot glass forming process. The task requires a deep understanding of the physical property of materials, the modeling techniques, infrastructure and various connections of a production site, usage of time-series database and the implementation of machine learning.

Working on the Master Thesis topic of "An adaptive surrogate modeling approach to cup drawing using Gaussian process regression" at Fraunhofer IWM. It aims for developing a Machine Learning approach to extend the application of simulation method from most only in design phases to even the almost real-time prediction in manufacturing process.
