Kumi is a lifelong learner and extremely adaptable. From her Hospitality Degree in Switzerland to her years in Luxury goods, Kumi thrives in and adds to capable high-performance teams. She has also developed a passion for teaching and the Covid years saw her teach over a 1000 students in a variety of Japanese Classic recipes. More recently, Kumi has completed a double Advanced Diploma in Patisserie and Cookery from a renowned Culinary Institution in Dubai. Her next steps will be to apply this experience and knowledge in a top Restaurant. Watch this space.
I am responsible for assisting Chef Instructors during their practical classes and ensuring the smooth date to day operations. I am also involved in production of pastries and bread items for any events and special classes which are organized at ICCA.
Intensive internship at Avatara restaurant. Dubai’s Michelin-selected, first all-vegetarian, degustation fine dining experience.
Organizing and conducting online Japanese cooking classes. The main responsibilities included creating class content, texts for the students, recipe creation and testing, class delivery and answering any questions participants may have about Japanese cuisine. Up to 50 international customers per class. More than 1000 customers in a year of content delivery.
