Moved to Hardware Snap Management team NJ headquarter again ( we own all the HW snaps engines that commvault supports ) , slim team of 8 Devs . As team did not need more managers so started working as IC roles ( PE 2 ), Mostly spent US time on VSA V2 framework for snap management , Disaster recovery of VMware workloads using hardware snap framework. Improvements needed to improve backup copy for VSA V2 ( called as VSA V2.1 ) .

The software's threshold monitoring alerts IT to abuses; whether it's excessive usage or restricted file types. The Storage Manager software's analytical reports help IT reclaim wasted storage, manage capacity and raise storage utilization to reduce storage spending. The project supports one of key feature in Simpana (known as Galaxy) own by Commvault Systems. It provides SRM specific data and reporting Microsoft Windows File system and UNIX File systems. Responsibilities In-depth understanding of architecture of Storage hierarchy of Windows and UNIX, figuring out the way by which Volumes and Groups partitions are interlinked. Collect the data using MAPI, C++ APIs windows API, and on unix system command popen() methods etc (SCSI api). and reorganize the data in order to display the same to user end. Designing the application which involves Server and Client interaction using XML messaging. Algorithm to fetch the data and maintaining the Design simple and effective. Handling Memory leaks, handling adhoc crashes Server and Client machine.
Description Adapter for Informatica PowerCenter The main function of Adapter is to extract/load into/from Essbase\MSOlap\Lotus Notes Data- Warehouse\DB\Application. I worked as a team lead and guided two fresh graduates after my 2 year exp. To build the Adapter for Informatica PowerCenter, there are various analytic, investigative and reporting needs. Responsibilities Project requires thorough understanding of Informatica PowerCenter Tool, its architecture, usage. The Project also involve implementing the interface to integrate the adapter to PowerCenter. Project involves client interaction, presenting the Essabse\MSOlap\Lotus notes Adapter functionality to client. Project also involves usage and learning of different PowerCenter features like working with sources and targets, creating mapplets\mappings, Custom transformation etc.
