At Dineshchandra R. Agrawal Infracon Pvt. Ltd., I contribute as a Senior Engineer focusing on pre-contract quantity surveying. My responsibilities include site visits, feasibility analyses, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, rate analysis, and resource planning for diverse infrastructure projects such as buildings, steel structures, pipelines, and RCC tanks. By aligning project budgets with local material and labor costs, I help ensure the financial viability and precision of project execution. A BTech graduate in Civil Engineering from Kurukshetra University, I have also gained experience in post-contract quantity surveying, billing, and project coordination through prior roles at Toshiba Water Solutions and 21st Century Enviro Engineers. My technical skills in cost estimation, budgeting, and rate analysis allow me to support efficient project planning and execution. • Conducting site visits, preparing feasibility & site-condition presentations and Pre Bid Queries. • Quantity take-off from the drawings for Buildings, Steel Structures, and RCC Tanks, BOP Structures, Pipelines and other infrastructures like boundary wall, Road and drain. • Preparation of BOQs as per tender specifications and extraction of Material sheet. • Preparation of the rate analysis of the BOQ items and determine the cost by collecting the local rates. • Preparation of resource planning for Manpower and Machinery Output productivity and cost calculation as per schedule time. • Assist the project budget with Site Development, Direct and Indirect costs, Overheads, Risk & Contingencies. Taxes & Duties, Approval charges Profit and Escalation. • Floating enquiries, analysing techno-commercial offers, and Preparation of the Comparative statements. • Attending pre-bid meetings, raising queries, and incorporating corrigendum and addendum. • Understanding operation, system & processes, and sizing of unit systems for power plant projects.
• Quantity take-off from the GFC Drawings for STP Structures of Tanks & Building, Pipelines and other Road Drain and Boundary wall infrastructures. • Preparation of the comparative from the selective bidding process, coordination with vendor for clarification and negotiation on financial and commercial terms. • Preparation of the rate justification of the L1 bidder and getting approval from the Project, Procurement and financing Departments. • Allocation of the Budget for the work / service order from the control budgeting system for the approved cost. • Preparation work order / Amendments in SAP with preparation of the special condition of contracts. • Check the RA Bill / IPC statements from the subcontractor and check for calculations and BOQ items, if required the amendment of the BOQ with closure of an item and addition of other new item. • Assist Project Engineers / Managers with cost budgeting and variance calculations.
• Project planning and monitoring, coordination with site engineers and Regular site visit. • Responsible for the assisting proposals/tenders and execution of various projects or the company. • Responsible for liasoning with clients in coordination with management or any person/official visiting at site and no loose talk or misleading information is tolerated. • I do ensure quantity & quality or raw material i.e., cement, sand, aggregate and steel etc. • Proper coordination with Site engineers to ensure quality and timely completion of works. • Maintain and send Daily progress report, Stock report and MRN etc. for various projects of company. • I will ensure that the BOQ for each building/structure from structural drawing is submitted before start of work of individual structure. • Check and approval of pity contractor bills and their payment from the head office. • Quantity take off from drawings for project initiation and progress records. • Coordination with structural engineers for the clarification and changes in the drawing.
