This isn't an S20 Fund investment. While S20 Fund maintains flexibility and operates dynamically, it focuses on pre-seed investments in teams across the CEE region. The Fitatu transaction has a distinctly different character - closer to a private equity approach. We're talking about a profitable company with a recognized market product and still very healthy revenue growth dynamics, exceeding 45 percent year-over-year. During internal discussions, we even debated whether this type of activity is closer to a search fund model or rather a private SPAC. Regardless of nomenclature, we assembled a group of investors including the investment alliance of Maciej Zientara and Wojciech Duda, business angels Sławomir Nitek and André Gerstner, as well as Rzeszów-based Ideo Software. Like them, I have an appetite to conduct additional transactions of this nature beyond the investment activities carried out through S20 Fund - deals similar to this one with Wojtek Wrzaskała and Dominik Golenia regarding Fitatu. I had an active role in this deal and have now joined the supervisory board. I want to thank the founders for their partnership in making this happen, as well as Jakub Biczkowski, who has stepped in as the new CEO.
Speedup Venture Capital is a fund formed by people who have been supporting the development of technology companies and involved in the development of the VC environment in CEE for years. We invest in the founders of companies at the early stages of development (seed - Series A). We cooperate with companies within the investment horizon of 3 to 8 years and the investment amount is between 250 thousand and 3 million Euro. We are interested in companies and entrepreneurs from Europe, mainly CEE, who create solutions in areas: consumer internet, electromobility, energy, fintech, martech, adtech, medtech, IoT, and hardware.
