This mandate covered a uniquely diverse portfolio - from Single Family Office, Energy Trading and Integrated Logistics to high-impact sectors like Aquaculture and Advanced Manufacturing. During this journey, I have delivered proven success in turnaround, governance, growth strategy, leadership development and regional expansion across Southeast Asia and Greater China. I am deeply committed to continuous learning and reflective action. This fuels my passion for mentoring resilient individuals and startups - helping them unlock their potential, build sustainable businesses and drive social innovations with lasting impact. Guided by the philosophy of "Ubuntu - I am because we are", I strive to lead with love, gratitude and purpose. My renewed focus is on securing a new executive leadership opportunity dedicated to empowering organisations and communities through purposeful leadership while continuing my board roles to champion ethical governance. When Prof. Lui asked if I wanted to put back to the students, and share my experience, I was humbled by the kind invitation. Once again, I thank Prof. Lui and Prof. Chong for this wonderful opportunity to work with this young university, modelled after Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Zhejiang University (SUTD was the only non-US institution to make the top 10 list in the world for research). It’s my privilege to work closely with Prof Chong and his amazing team, to take on the role of mentoring student startups on campus, coach aspiring and budding entrepreneurs, speak on entrepreneurship & strategy, and support initiatives to partner with other institutions and private companies to further promote university and industry collaborations. Our education system may have ingrained in our minds the need for impeccable academic results, but in reality it does not determine success in life. And for me, the rules of thumb, has always and will always be, ATTITUDE over aptitude, INVOLVEMENT over engagement and WISDOM over intellect. Life is to be experienced, and I will do everything I can to help nurture the technopreneurs and business leaders of tomorrow, to develop innovations for the betterment of humanity. With gratitude!
