As manager NPO Luister, I am responsible for the podcast strategy of the Dutch Public Broadcaster and I am business owner for the app NPO Luister. I opperate as a brand ambassador for NPO Luister, speaking at various events and representing the NPO at international events as a speaker, using Powerpoint to present. The total amount of downloads of podcasts of the NPO grew under my leadership yearly with around 15 percent. At the NPO, I was part of a Product, Marketing and Content team, representing content. As PMC, we were responsible for the growth of the app NPO Luister from 15.000 weekly users in june '23 to 600.000 weekly users in december '25. In 2025, we succesfully integrated the 9 different radiostations of the NPO into NPO Luister, closing 9 different apps and making NPO Luister the home for all public radio listeners in The Netherlands. At NPO Luister, I am responsible for a team of 8fte, who work as curators, program coordinators, schedulers and editors. Now, NPO Luister is the leading Dutch audio app for radio and podcast. We've successully integrated all the news and sports shows that we have at NPO and are always talking to the responsible editors about the growth of their shows.
• Authored the fiction novel 'Saparua' during the COVID-19 pandemic, inspired by my visit to Saparua, Indonesia. • Conducted extensive research to ensure historical accuracy regarding the Indonesian freedom war. • Balanced writing with a full-time job at DPG Media and later NPO, enhancing my time management skills. • Developed storytelling techniques that blend fiction with autobiographical elements.
• Spearheaded the development of the podcast strategy for DPG Media, enhancing audio content across 52 brands together with collegae Iwan Reuvekamp. Was responsibly for the podcastbudget for DPG Media. (co-)developed and changed shows like AD Mediapodcast, In de ban van Rian and De Schrik van Roden. Sucessfully initiated the change to make sports show AD Voetbalpodcast a daily show. • Co-founded and produced the 'Bingewatchers' podcast, focusing on streaming television and storytelling. • Managed teams in both the Netherlands and Belgium, driving significant growth in podcast offerings from under 10 to over 200 shows. Was the brand ambassador for the podcast division and spoke regularly at events to talk about our strategy and using Microsoft Powerpoint to present my views. • Collaborated with key stakeholders to achieve over 50 million annual downloads, showcasing the effectiveness of innovative audio strategies. We initially had 1 million downloads and achieve the mentioned growth in less than 3 years.
Started as an assembler for the new digital morning show 'De Ochtendshow to Go' when the show was still in development. With a few others, I laid the groundwork for the show and invented segments, helped develop the style of the show and lead the control room. Every morning, I lead a team of up to twelve professionals, to make the best show possible. As the assembler, I was the daily responsible for the show, leading the presenter, the production team, the editors and the technical team.
