Cluster Scalability - Sharding
• Engineered and implemented a technical design for creating global indexes on sharded collections allowing clients to maintain another unique constraint on an index across all the servers in addition to the shard key. • Increased efficiency in local unit testing and testing on the distributed continuous integration system called Evergreen by scripting the shutdown process of multiple servers to be done in parallel of each other. • Developed a continuous mongod profiler that generates flame graphs allowing users to monitor performance and debug failures at any given time.
• Migrating the decommissioned eDB1 database into DynamoDB and reworking the API gateway for user preference data on a mutual funds internal website. • Terraform was used to deploy AWS Lambda functions, API gateway, and DynamoDB.
• Scripted a SQL automation to handle the data imports into a user-friendly screen for the learning demand tool, which can be used by CBS or HR Solutions.
• Assisted in math and language arts classes of 13-15 children by conducting Zoom classes alongside the teacher. • Interacted with students and families, answered phone calls, and managed teacher packets. • Met prospective families at outreach events to advertise the math and language arts enrichment classes.
