Managing an engineering team including software engineers and program managers working on product suite of email services. I also own our team's roadmap, strategy, customers and stakeholders interactions on our services related to Amazon's complex email routing infrastructure that processes billions of messages annually. My team develops solutions for Amazonians to send and receive emails via different mediums and ensures productivity and business continuity. This is more complex than it sounds because of the scale at Amazon. We work on both modern and legacy infrastructure and take ownership to deliver a better tomorrow to our customers. I strongly believe in developing those around you through continuous feedback , both encouraging and constructive. I am invested in the success of my team, customers and stakeholders and work actively with them to remove any blockers. I seek feedback and encourage discussions but don't hesitate to take calculated risks or make a hard decision. Doing the right thing is important to me even if the journey to reach there is hard.
Led and scaled the enterprise email team in Dublin. My team owned 20 different services that managed email lists, mass communications and email routing for internal business teams and external customers. I played a critical role in scaling up the Dublin team. Between Jun and Oct 2021, my team grew from 3 to 10 as part of my hiring efforts. I authored a strategy document that resulted in hiring a new manager and creation of new team to lead a subset of my services to 1) provide better customer experience with focussed technical improvements and 2) better team experience for the new hires and promote job satisfaction and work-life balance.
Though I was a permanent employee of Deloitee, I was working for a public-sector client full-time in their Business Intelligence team for almost 8 years. I started in a Consultant role and at the time of leaving, was a seasoned Manager after having earned 3 promotions. My work started as being a individual contributor working on Java/J2EE applications focussed on transactional operations for customer matching and compliance tracking/insights. I eventually led the technical project delivery of an international exchange program delivering 4 projects and leading a cross-vendor team of 6-8 developers. Besides my full-time impact at the client program, I owned the Finance operations for the whole client account and was responsible for timely and accurate billing. Drove finance compliance activties across a team of 90 and developed budget reports, investment and value-add reports. Built the resourcing pipeline not just for my team but for the wider business. Assisted with any tenders or business proposals, leading the value-proposition in the client's BI space. Was also a member of Deloitte's Inter-European Talent and People Initiatives across the firm.

Also developed and published a paper on a re-usable code component within Sterling COM product that was approved by an architectural panel for use in similar Sterling commerce use-cases. Later, I was part of the core team trained in IBM Webspehere commerce and worked with clients like David Jones[Australia] on solutions that integrated IBM Websphere commerce with Sterling Distributed order management.
During my stint with Polaris, I worked with their clients BNP Paribas and Fidelity Investments from locations in Mumbai and Bangalore. I developed and enhanced applications using PHP, SQL, Java/J2EE
