I am a clinical medical student interested in biomedical research, particularly in oncology. My current goals are to expand my research and lab experience, in order to develop skills/techniques that can be implemented in a future career in academia and medicine. My strengths include quick learning, problem solving and time management.

Internship in the Lindon Lab. My project focused on characterisation of a CRISPR-edited cell line to further investigate the role of Aurora A kinase in promoting cancer-like properties. This included assessing protein expression and localisation, cell proliferation, response to drug treatment, as well as growth in 3D cell culture. Developed laboratory techniques including: Cell culture, 2D immunofluorescence, Western blots, Cell viability (CCK8) assays, Cell migration assays (scratch assay), Cell proliferation assays, 3D Cell Culture.
Internship at the Renshaw lab, Bateson Centre. I was involved in multiple urology projects which developed key research skills such as academic writing, learning new laboratory techniques (such as RNA extraction) and presenting results to other academics. Projects include: 1) Writing and publishing a literature review paper. 2) Contributing to the development of novel dissection methods for zebrafish organs. 3) Fluorescence microscopy of zebrafish
