I am a 5th year BVetMed student at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC). My greatest interest lies in the field of Equine Surgery, which I am planning to pursue by doing an internship and a specialist residency in the years after graduating. I am passionate about research and worked with different research groups throughout my time at the RVC, with particular focus on the equine locomotion. I aim to continue developing my research skills as a vet by working towards a PhD in a subject related to equine surgery or locomotion. I am an organised, hard-working and enthusiastic student who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative and team-working environment and I always strive to do my best in any task assigned to me
I work as a casual weekend Patient Care Assistant in Medicine, Emergency & Critical Care department at Queen Mother Hospital for Animals (RVC). I assist nurses with patient restraint (e.g for blood sampling), feeding and walking. I am also responsible for helping maintain cleanliness and consumable stocks in wards as well as other areas of the hospital
I worked as a weekend library assistant every other Sunday and helped with ad-hoc hours that come up throughout the year. My responsibilities included helping the visitors with any book queries, ensuring the tidiness of the library and checking out / discharging items to the library users
