With influence over multiple business functions, this role was responsible for co-management of the 15 member Victorian and Tasmanian Sales and Clinical teams overseeing two distinct product silos. Included strategic planning, budgeting and territory design, operations management and a secondment to the Trauma Marketing team. SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS: • Business transformation: Co-led the rebuild of the Victorian and Tasmanian Smith & Nephew business from a long-term distributorship to a direct to market model. • Team leadership: Led the transformation of the Victorian and Tasmanian Smith & Nephew field team during the direct-to-market transition • Complex problem solving: Seconded to the Trauma Marketing team, leading the resolution of a complex Victorian tender issue. • Project management and productivity improvement: Led an asset efficiency project formulating three key asset initiatives that created a national inventory strategy.
Marketing and strategy delivery of key product portfolios including acute and chronic wound care and Swann Morton surgical blades. Included customer relationship management during Covid crisis, creation of the marketing strategies to execute across three delivery channels, all supporting collateral, portfolio rationalisation of the Coverplast range, multiple tender submissions with effective pricing strategy development and several innovative product launches. A focus in this role was to improve profitability via excess and obsolescent stock optimisation. SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS: • Marketing strategy: Designed and executed the strategy for the entire wound care portfolio leading to a key success with Leukomed Control growth of 39% from H2 2020 to H1 2021. • Portfolio lifecycle and brand management: Led relaunch of Coverplast range via product rationalisation using sales and inventory data analysis to streamline the range. • Product launch: Innovative market introduction utilising fully remote engagement of customers and opinion leaders and digital campaigns.
With a category revenue of over $60 million, the hips portfolio is a key strategic asset for DePuy Synthes. Responsible for all aspects of managing the hips portfolio including product launches, quality and regulation compliance, creation and execution of marketing strategies including digital strategy. OPEX and CAPEX management and planning were a key focus, as was key option leader (KOL) and external stakeholder management including user group establishment, product lifecycle management, ESO reduction and product rationalisation.
