Rooser is a global network streamlining how seafood buyers and suppliers trade, creating transparency and certainty while eliminating waste. As Recruitment Lead, I joined Rooser to establish a robust talent function from the ground up, fueling company growth by building a lean, world-class team and implementing scalable recruitment practices. Achievements over my first two years in the business: → Led hiring efforts to build the core team within the business, successfully recruiting 40+ new team members across all departments, including commercial, product, engineering, customer and operations. → Reduced candidate 'time in process' to a median of 21 days by streamlining recruitment operations. → Transitioned ATS from Workable to Ashby, setting up workflows and tracking systems to improve recruitment efficiency. → Introduced a values-focused interview stage and AI-assisted processes through Metaview, enhancing interview quality and alignment with company values. → Launched a candidate experience hub and feedback loops, contributing to an experience that has resulted in an offer acceptance rate of 94%.
Responsibility for the recruitment team at Duffel. Delivering hires across the business including Software Engineering Product, Design, Marketing, Operations, Sales and Customer Success. Achievements: → Managed a team of recruiters, delivering 40 hires in 2021 and 31 in 2022, growing the company to 85 people. → Collaborated with hiring managers to create recruitment processes for first-time Sales, Marketing, and Product hires. → Led the design of interview training focused on values-based interviewing across the business. → Led recruitment-related projects, including the design and delivery of interview training.
Client-facing lead for the delivery of various People and Talent projects, including: → Levelling, progression and salary benchmarking for TrueLayer, Sorted and Second Nature. → Design and delivery of interview training for TrueLayer. → Research and analysis of technical screening and interview tools for Deliveroo. → Designed the hiring process, establishing an effective hiring bar and interview process for clients, including Multiverse and Wheely.
→ Led a team of 3 recruiters across disciplines including Product Management, Product Marketing, Content Design, User Research, Product Design, and Engineering Projects. → Delivered 25 hires for Product Management and built the Robotics and Automation team from scratch, growing it to 6 in the first year. → Partnered with the Director of Product Marketing to expand the team to 8 and rebuilt the Experience leadership team after restructuring. → Key hires included VP Experience, Engineering Directors, Product Directors, and Head of Robotics and Automation. → Designed a progression framework for the recruitment team, delivered interview training across the tech org, and conducted weekly team meetings and 1:1s.
