About

I am a neuroscientist, science communication and policy co-production expert, bringing knowledge of how brains and minds work to the communication of and policy responses to controversial topics such as climate change. I run communication and engagement training for environmental scientists and policy makers. For organisational development consultants, local community and organisation leaders, I designed a unique training to help them to bring new opportunities for meaningful action on climate change into their work. I provide specialised support for individuals and groups to collaborate effectively across sector boundaries and to break out of professional silos. I have facilitated partnership working between local councils and universities in the UK, and for the UK-China Collaboration on Climate Change Risk Assessment (run by Chatham House) I facilitated workshops on energy transition and climate risk, internationally and in the UK. I co-produced Right Between Your Ears - a documentary about how people can believe things even if they aren't true. I also co-created The Justice Syndicate, an interactive play about how we make decisions, alone and in groups.

    Research consultant to 2020 Science Project, developing statistical software to run Monte-Carlo Markov Chain simulations of complex biophysical systems in the Julia programming language. Used to model biological systems such as a neurons and photo-receptor cells of a fly's eye.
