Na 26 jaar in de culturele sector zet ik mijn ervaring als projectleider en manager graag in in een sector waaraan ik een frisse blik kan toevoegen, zoals Logistiek of Productie. Die ervaring bestaat uit projectmanagement in internationale context, succesvolle marketing met doelgroepen en stakeholders, het aansturen van teams en het leiden van een hele organisatie, zowel inhoudelijk, financieel als organisatorisch. Ik help een organisatie zichzelf op een succesvolle en relevante manier te definiëren en van daaruit duidelijke keuzes te maken. Ik heb een sterk strategisch inzicht en kan dat vertalen in haalbare operationele resultaten. Dat doe altijd samen met de verschillende mensen in het team. Elk van hen kan maximaal haar of zijn expertise inzetten om samen succesvol te zijn. De voorbije anderhalf jaar ben ik ervaringsdeskundige geworden in sociale veiligheid. Ik kan een organisatie helpen dat op een gepaste manier voor iedereen in de organisatie waar te maken.
The Zuiderzee Museum as a hybrid maritime and crafts open air museum is a unique place for designers, artists, fashion designers, fotographers and architects to work with an inspiring cultural historical context and collection. It is a living library with building blocks for tackling contemporary and future challenges involving water, space and people. For the Fries Museum and Ceramics Museum Princessehof, I continued this connection between heritage as inspiration and designers of solutions for the future.
Connecting the world of research to the world of the public.
From 2009 to 2024, many museums in the Netherlands organized twice a year series of lectures for kids from 8 to 12 years old. The lectures' subjects were exciting, special, funny or weird and were related to the topics of each museum. The lecturerers were researchers of the museum, from the academic world, or specialists on the subject. As president of the board I was responsible for the development 1. of the format to reach a larger and more diverse audience of young people and 2. of the level of learning as well as the engaging quality of the lectures.
I direct the Museum of Friesland (Fries Museum), the Friesland Resistance Museum and Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics.
