Kris is an expert in philanthropy, government relations, fundraising, corporate partnerships, and new business development, leading teams in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. With a special passion for helping to solve unsheltered homelessness & providing shelter for the unhoused, Kris has dedicated the past couple of years opening new communities across California and the US. Kris began his career working in professional sports, prior to serving in The White House and Administration for eight years, working in the Office of the President and Vice President in both domestic and foreign roles. Following his time in Washington, D.C., Kris returned home to California where he helped raise significant funds to start and manage an international online business and then worked as a Senior Director for new business at an Omnicom Group owned firm. Examples of Kris' client roster in these roles included: Oracle, Bell Atlantic, GTE, Verizon Wireless, Citigroup, Nike, Sun Microsystems, Cisco Systems, SaraLee, Dupont, SAS, Bausch and Lomb, Columbia/HCA Health, General Services Administration of the United States Government, City of San Francisco, State of California. Kris has spent the past 25 years holding senior leadership and management positions, directing large teams and raising over $120 million in support through public, private and nonprofit relationships. Over two decades, Kris has devised and implemented complex strategies for long-term revenue growth, built significant corporate and political partnerships, launched effective donor development and retention initiatives, and challenged his large teams and board members to fulfill their commitments to achieve their significant and impactful goals, together. Kris graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in International Political Economics with an emphasis in Public Policy and Business. He lives in San Francisco with his family where he volunteers with multiple organizations, explores the many corners of the city, enjoys hiking and skiing, attends as many SF Giants baseball and Cal Bears football games as possible, and is constantly in search of THE perfect burrito.

Our innovative Built-On-Site System (BOSS) technology has been implemented in several communities across California, with several more online and in development. I am managing and leading new partnerships with city, state and county governments, as well as universities and religious organizations who want to maximize the use of their excess land while playing a significant role as partners in solving homelessness.

    Developing, managing and leading new business opportunities and expansion throughout the United States in an effort to end unsheltered street homelessness in our communities, by building Interim Supportive Housing with rapid, cost-effective, and thus scalable solutions. DignityMoves was founded at the beginning of the pandemic by a group of concerned business leaders who are all members of Young Presidents Organization (YPO). Already frustrated with the state of unsheltered homelessness in our communities, they knew that the problem was about to get much worse. We have pooled our collective expertise and resources to take a fresh look at the situation, and find innovative solutions.

We rely completely on private donations and philanthropic support, which I led for over a decade. During my tenure, our team raised over $60 million in private support. During my 11 years as a senior leader, I was directly responsible for: - Management and oversight of all fundraising, development, business partnerships, corporate relations, government affairs, public relations and spokeperson, alumni relations, and board management. - Alumni Relations and Development - Direct management of 7 FTE’s and 3 outside consultant teams - Creating strategy for ongoing community & government affairs outreach and implementation - Chief strategist for business development and support from regional, state and national public sector and quasi-public sector partners - Raising $5 million annually towards operating budget of $10 million - Design and implementing a successful 5-yr., $15 million Capital Campaign for expansion of facilities - Directly impacting and growing our endowment from $120 million to $170 million in 11 years - Oversight of all Major Gifts, Foundation Grants, Corporate Partnerships, Planned Giving and all fundraising events and 500 person annual gala - Point person for all media communications, printed material, online and social media development. - Chief Spokesperson for the organization - Trained and directed board of directors & staff in fundraising training and donor visits
