Over the past 10 years I worked in different domains (always Product Development oriented) at the world largest supplier of flexible packaging. Before I was responsible for the development of a various range of cosmetic products. During my career I managed different positions as engineer, global project leader and supporting a young team of product development engineers. I employ a combination of a strong personal drive, critical thinking and problem solving skills. I enjoy new challenges and I'm continuously looking for opportunities to improve products and services. Currently I'm looking for a new challenge in Product Development were I can further explore my skills and experience. Our department is responsible for the development and improvement of the packaging structures produced in Halen (e.g. standardize and simplify process and raw materials, cost savings projects, quality improvements, new developments, ...). We also give the necessary technical support to our customers (follow up trials, problem solving).
I worked for 3 years in the Global R&D organisation from Amcor. I was responsible for the new developments, quality improvements and cost savings projects from mainly coffee customers. Working closely together with the corporate team from Amcor (Marketing, Sales and R&D), our customers, suppliers and the Amcor sites involved, was crucial to deliver the requested results. The complexity and time pressure of some projects were often challenges and obstacles that we had to overcome.
I was responsible for the development and implementation of new packaging structures, qualification of new raw materials, follow up complaints and process problems. Standardize and simplify the adhesives and inks in our factory was one of the most successful projects we have realized.
In Bevannu (bankruptcy in 2003) and later Anhairco, I was responsible for the R&D and QC department. Besides develop cosmetic products, I managed a team of 3 lab assistants.
